Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. Are you passionate about providing superior customer service? Do you have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills? If so, the Special Processing Unit (SPU) is looking to recruit you! SPU handles a variety of vehicle registration applications including Environmental License Plates, rush titles, and specialized vehicle registrations. Under the direction of the Manager I, the Senior Motor Vehicle Technician will answer program related questions and provide guidance to Motor Vehicle Representatives; process vehicle and vessel registration and titling applications; prepare and process refund claims and correspondence; and prepare memorandums and correspondence on a personal computer (PC). Desired qualifications include customer service skills; well-developed interpersonal skills including sensitivity, patience, and flexibility; training experience; written and verbal communication skills; PC skills; problem solving and analytical skills; vehicle registration knowledge; regular reliable attendance; and the ability to work in a team environment. Telework is not available for this position
