Under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I, EDD, the Program Technician (PT) III will be primarily responsible for responding to audit related inquiries and processing complex support work on difficult or multifaceted issues in regard to employment taxes.
The PT III ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies and assists taxpayers in complying with the laws. Duties may consist of lead duties, information gathering, account analysis, and processing forms received to generate required account adjustments within the audit program using the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES).
These functions require interaction with employers regarding the more difficult employment tax issues, as well as providing sensitive, detailed program information and/or direction to the public or employees.

The position(s) are headquartered in Sacramento, CA and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
