Job Description and Duties
PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – CHANNEL COAST DISTRICT / LA PURISIMA MISSION STATE HISTORIC PARK
The reporting location is the La Purisima Mission State Historic Park in Lompoc, CA. The Park Maintenance Supervisor works under the direction of Park Maintenance Chief I. The incumbent is responsible to plan, supervise, and direct the overall maintenance program within La Purisima Mission SHP, Point Sal State Beach, and the Santa Ines Mission Mills unclassifid property. This position manages the budget, scheduling, daily housekeeping, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment management, MAXIMO and related functions. This position provides leadership, supervision, training, and employee development opportunities to the staff. The Park Maintenance Supervisor works directly with District core staff and is responsible to keep district management informed of progress on projects, controversial or sensitive issues, and the overall status of the program.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
