Working Conditions
Travel is required up to 50% of the time with overnight stays. Mileage, tolls, and parking fees will be reimbursed using the Travel Expense Claim process.
A State work truck will be provided to fulfill the Engineer duties.

Department Information
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a recognized leader in public service and has existed for over 100 years. The DMV is responsible for registering approximately 36 million vehicles in California, and serving 34 million driver license and identification card holders, collecting over $14 billion in annual revenue. The DMV also maintains and oversees many other functions. The DMV provides quality licensing and motor vehicle-related services in its field offices located throughout California and online at www.dmv.ca.gov.
Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
- Selected Candidate will be required to participate in the DMV Employee Pull Notice Program.
Reporting location (work site address): 425 N Amphlett Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94401 Assigned work areas: Corte Madera, Daly City, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Redwood City, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Jose, and Santa Teresa.
Days off: Saturday and Sunday
