Job Description and Duties

Are you ready to join a dynamic team of safety professionals dedicated to helping California employers make their workplaces safe?

State Compensation Insurance Fund provides workers compensation insurance to California employers, from small to large businesses across all industries.

  • We are looking for a dynamic safety professional to join our team in providing occupational safety inspection and consultation services to our policyholders. This position will provide safety services to policyholders with more complex and difficult risk conditions to reduce employee injury potential. This is a teleworking position which requires frequent travel to assigned accounts and mileage is reimbursed. The primary servicing territory will be parts of the Greater Bay Area such as Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Napa County, Santa Clara County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Solano County and Sonoma County.

More complex and difficult risks include:

1. Businesses using more sophisticated and difficult-to-evaluate technologies

and/or engineering controls

2. Businesses with multiple locations

3. Businesses with significant losses related to difficult-to-identify hazards and

industrial operations with high-level sophistication

4. High-profile preferred brokers

5. Specialized services of lesser complexity such as industrial hygiene and

ergonomics services (i.e., noise dosimetry and industrial ergonomic

evaluations)

6. Accounts that usually present unforeseen or unique difficulties

You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

Working Conditions

To be considered, you must provide a fully completed STD 678 application and resume via CalCareers. Resumes submitted in lieu of the STD 678 may not be accepted. Completed STD 678 must include duties performed, start and end dates, and hours worked per week for each position held.

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
