DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT I / OCOTILLO WELLS DISTRICT / BORREGO SPRINGS, CA
The reporting location for this position is the Ocotillo Wells District Office located in Borrego Springs, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Desert Division Chief.
This position is the District Superintendent for the District and will be responsible for directing the overall activities of the district, which include natural and cultural resource management and protection, visitor services, interpretation, aquatic programs, facilities maintenance, capital outlay engineering, landscaping, property management, historic properties preservation, concessions, equipment, and administration including budget preparation and review, revenue collection, employee development and performance evaluation, and employee discipline.
This position will work closely with the managers and supervisors in all sections of the operation, as well as, district and headquarters offices. The successful candidate should have broad and extensive (more than five years) experience in the management or administration of a park, public recreational, historical area, or a resource or recreation management organization, at least four years of which must have included the supervision of staff.
