Job Description and Duties

PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – INLAND EMPIRE DISTRICT / CHINO SECTOR / CALIFORNIA CITRUS STATE HISTORIC PARK (RIVERSIDE COUNTY)


The reporting location for this position is the Chino Sector office located at California Citrus SHP, 1879 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA 92504. This position will work under the general direction of the State Park Superintendent III, and under the direction of the Chino Sector Manager and in collaboration with the District Maintenance Chief, as well as work closely with all sector staff as a team. The Park Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, direction, and accomplishment of the maintenance and grounds programs within the Chino Sector, which includes Chino Hills State Park and California Citrus State Historic Park. This position has the opportunity to supervise a team of dedicated staff which includes a Maintenance Mechanic, Park Maintenance Worker I, Park Maintenance Assistant, Groundskeepers, seasonal maintenance aides, and various volunteers and courtworker participants of the Work Release program. The functions of this position are to assure the proper management and maintenance of all facilities, grounds, equipment, property, roads, trails, contract administration and other projects assigned.

This position requires the possession of a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
