Job Description and Duties

OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / FOLSOM SECTOR / FOLSOM LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA

The reporting location for this position is the Folsom Sector Office located in Folsom. This position reports directly to the State Park Superintendent III. The Folsom Office Technician (Typing) PI, provides administrative support to the Sector operation and works closely with District staff to ensure timeliness in the processing of all documents related to the functions of Revenue Generation. Duties include typing correspondence, assisting management with the scheduling of meetings and work-related travel, and preparation of deposits and Report of Collections. The incumbent will also be responsible for reconciling and maintaining the Sector change fund. Incumbent will perform the reception functions and will be required to cover duties such as, answering phones, filing, copying, directing questions to appropriate staff and assisting the general public with sales and park information. The incumbent will attend applicable training in order to remain current with Departmental policy and regulations. This position also provides assistance to the Sector Coordinator for all special events and school programs. The successful candidate should possess a strong skill set in verbal and written communication along with the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. Experience with various programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is highly desirable. This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
