Job Description and Duties
ASSOCIATE PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – BOATING AND WATERWAYS / GRANTS AND LOANS UNIT / SACRAMENTO, CA
Park and Recreation Specialist will also be considered for recruitment purposes.
The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street in Sacramento, California. This position will work under the direction of the Supervisor I.

The Associate Park and Recreation Specialist is responsible for managing Division grants and loans which can include construction loans and grants for construction, boating education and safety, beach erosion and nourishment, equipment, and federally funded grants for recreational boating-related projects. Duties include assisting in the application process, ranking, and financial evaluation; feasibility report development; loan and grant project administration; project monitoring including site inspection, funding reimbursements; and participation in special studies and report development for the Division's loan and grant programs. Other duties include regulatory analysis, program budgeting, presenting at Commission meetings and promoting funding programs.
This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.
