STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR II (LIFEGUARD) – SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT / NORTH SECTOR (SAN DIEGO COUNTY)

The reporting location for this position is the North Sector Headquarters Office located at 2680 Carlsbad Blvd. Carlsbad, Ca. 92008. This position will work under the direction of the District Public Safety Superintendent.

Under the direction of the Public Safety Superintendent, the incumbent oversees a large aquatic safety program for approximately 13.2 miles of busy State owned coastline, including six State Park Units with an annual visitation of over 7 million. Duties include, law enforcement leadership, management of a diverse busy aquatic operation, liason with 5 City and numerous allied State and Federal entities, public education, resource management; Applicants can expect to work weekends and holidays.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

State housing is not available.
