***This is a Peace Officer Position. To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer.

STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR (RANGER) – SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT/ NORTH SECTOR
The reporting location for this position is negotiable between the North Sector Office in Carlsbad and Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve in San Diego. This position will work under the general direction of the State Park Superintendent III. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of law enforcement leadership, public safety operations within the natural reserve and state beaches, volunteer and seasonal employee management, and community involvement. Units of responsibility include Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, Torrey Pines State Beach, Ellen Browning Scripps Natural Preserve, and the Los Peñasquitos Natural Preserve. The incumbent is a critical part of the sector leadership team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to grow and strengthen personal skills for advancement. It is a challenging position for a motivated individual. The sector operates on a 4/10 schedule year-round.
A valid Class “C” driver’s license is required. This position is not telework eligible.
State housing is not available.
