PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR / SALTON SEA STATE RECREATION AREA / OCOTILLO WELLS DISTRICT

The reporting location is the Salton Sea State Recreation Area in Mecca, CA. The Park Maintenance Supervisor works under the direction of Park Maintenance Chief III. The incumbent is responsible to plan, supervise, and direct the overall maintenance program within Salton Sea SRA and Picacho SRA. This position manages the budget, scheduling, daily housekeeping, facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment management, and related functions. This position provides leadership, supervision, training, and employee development opportunities to the staff. The Park Maintenance Supervisor works directly with District core staff and is responsible to keep district management informed of progress on projects, controversial or sensitive issues, and the overall status of the program.

The incumbents's work schedule will be Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Possession of a valid class C driver license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Training and development assignments may be considered.
