This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU 12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.
The reporting location for this position is the Maintenance Shop located in Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA). This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief I.
The Diablo Range District is looking for a dependable team player who is enthusiastic about becoming an integral member of our maintenance staff. The duties of the Park Maintenance Worker II include maintenance of the Sector's facilities, roads, water treatment and sewage systems, as well as miscellaneous skilled work. The Park Maintenance Worker II assures the Hollister Hills SVRA remains the safe and efficient for all visitors. This incumbent will lead and train seasonal personnel and other maintenance workers. This position may be assigned to work at other locations in the District as needed.
This position will work Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm and may be required to work some weekends and holidays
Training and development assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
