Job Description and Duties

MANAGEMENT SERVICES TECHNICIAN (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT OFFICE

The reporting location for this position is Gold Fields District Office in Folsom, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Administrative Officer II.

The primary duties for this position are preparation and auditing of accounting documents such as purchase orders, open invoices, the Agreement for Services (DPR 285s), contract payments, Department of General Services Direct Transfers and travel expense claims. Other responsibilities include reconciliation of the district reports against the Fiscal Information System for California (FI$CAL) and preparation of reports for various Program Cost Accounts. This position is the District’s Authorized Telecom Representative and works closely with HQ on phone systems and communication needs for the District. The incumbent will also have knowledge of current departmental purchasing policies and will assist other District staff with the interpretation and completion of various purchase documents.

This position is Permanent Intermittent and can work up to 1500 hours per calendar year.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.
