Job Description and Duties

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – GOLD FIELDS / FOLSOM SECTOR / FOLSOM LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA

The Park Maintenance Worker I works under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief I. The reporting location for this position is the Maintenance Shop at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in Folsom, CA.

This position is principally responsible for the maintenance functions related to lake hazard marking, dock and buoy repositioning as well as maintenance support of structures and grounds and some general housekeeping duties.

To be appointed to this position, you must have List, Transfer, or Reinstatement eligibility. If you do not already have eligibility, you can obtain List eligibility by taking and passing the civil service exam. The next application cutoff date for the Park Maintenance Worker I classification is 03/31/26.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Possession of a California Boater Card is required at time of appointment.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.
