***This is a Peace Officer Position. To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer.
If you are not a current peace officer and in possession of a POST – Academy, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Certificate, you are not eligible for this position.

STATE PARK PEACE OFFICER SUPERVISOR (RANGER) – BAY AREA DISTRICT / SAN FRANCISCO BAY SECTOR / OLOMPALI STATE HISTORIC PARK
The reporting location for this position is Olompali State Historic Park in Novato, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of Senior Park and Recreation Specialist.
This position is responsible for the visitor services, public safety and law enforcement functions throughout the Bay Area District. The State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger) serves as a working supervisor responsible to ensure efficient, effective and comprehensive visitor services operations while performing safety and enforcement, patrol, interpretation, resource protection/management, and effective visitor facility operation. The State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger) will lead a patrol team that will provide law enforcement patrol and visitor services coverage throughout the Bay Area District.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
