In this job, you’ll provide support for new offerings, rates, and energy management tools for our 5 million customers. The individual is responsible for employing advanced analytics and tools to achieve project management goals. The successful candidate will provide analytical support to the Pricing Implementation Team in the design, development, and implementation of significant pricing initiatives, including rate comparisons. They will work closely with project managers on data requests and ad-hoc requests to address emerging issues. They will analyze ad-hoc output data to achieve project objectives and will use recurring reports to maintain dashboards. This position will also manage several memorandum accounts. The position will update cost forecasts, track actual and projected spend, reconcile discrepancies, as well as develop and enforce processes and procedures to maintain compliance. The successful candidate will need to work with stakeholders across the company to help provide them with assumptions so that forecasts can be calculated. This position will be responsible for providing write-ups of budget progress and budget forecasts in conjunction with filings, data requests, and quarterly and monthly reports as they arise. This role is also expected to identify areas of concern (overspend/underspend) and resolve those issues. Responsibilities
- Provides reporting on key metrics related to major programs and initiatives
- Develops, produces, and tracks key metrics through automated processes and KPI dashboards
- Monitors the creation and storage of documentation and records for use in project monitoring, ensuring accuracy and completeness in order to track project/program costs, resources, schedules, and status for management review
- Delivers data analysis and business intelligence reports, including complex requests with high internal and external visibility or special requests, such as audits
- Coordinates research efforts on various topics to ensure timely information is gathered which can form the basis for decision making on organization priorities and needs
- Contributes to process improvement and refinement efforts of department and/or Operating Unit
- Develop and maintains systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications in support of Business Operations analysis
- Develops and reports on key performance indicators to measure efficiency and effectiveness of projects and programs
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience performing business operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline
- Experience with business analysis involving identifying and shaping analytical project needs and metrics, identifying trends, and arriving at solutions rooted in information
- Experience working with large datasets (e.g., containing data for several hundred thousand accounts)
- Advanced experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Access. This includes using pivot tables
- Experience using advanced analytical tools such as SAS, Power BI
- Experience with budgets including forecasting, reconciliation, accruals, etc.
- Experience with customer-facing activities, projects or processes that directly impact customer satisfaction
- Experience in a regulated environment, including involvement in regulatory and legislative interpretation and drafting verbiage for regulatory filings.
- Experience developing presentations and reports that synthesize complex information into concise messages.
- Demonstrates strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
