Typical duties include installing, maintaining, configuring, and replacing desktop PCs, printers, software, and user accounts.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTPre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Shift: Some positions require availability for night and swing shifts, weekends, and on-call, including holidays and in support of 24-hour facilities, as needed. The Department of Public Works will require availability in support of extended business hours at Solid Waste facilities, as needed.Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is unable to consider candidates who require Visa sponsorship at this time or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in United States.Environment: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center incumbents will be required to work inside and near patient care areas.
Minimum Requirements
- Eligible candidates must meet ONE of the below qualifying options.
OPTION 1 EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience in a customer service environment providing IT technical support for computerized systems.EDUCATION: Fifteen (15) semester or twenty-three (23) quarter units of completed post-high school level coursework from an accredited college and university in information technology, computer sciences, or closely related field. OR Comp TIA: A+, Network +, Security +, MCSE, CCNA or comparable certificate.OPTION 2 EXPERIENCE: Current San Bernardino County PSE/WEX/Intern performing related duties to an Automated Systems Technician with an Associate's Degree in information technology, computer sciences, or closely related field (or equivalent).SUBSTITUTION OPTIONS EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of additional full-time equivalent qualifying experience may substitute for the required education or certification.EDUCATION: A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college and university in information technology, computer sciences, or closely related field may substitute for the required six (6) months of qualifying experience. - Technical experience with MS Office Suite; Windows Desktop Platform; physical and wireless networked systems
