Summary

Provides technical and business operations support to SRP department. The responsibilities for this position include managing organizational invoicing, preparation of budget reports and supporting documentation as required by management, assisting Analysts in preparation of budgetary financial and performance plans, and providing operational support to departmental staff in the development of solutions and modification of existing procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Works to improve efficiency and effectiveness through support of data analysis and optimization strategies.
  • Advises management on budget status of items including additions, reductions, or cancellations of requests and prepares supporting documentation.
  • Creates, inputs, and monitors competitive service data and reports results to management.
  • Assists Analysts in preparation of budgetary financial and performance measures.
  • Assists Analysts in the preparation and analysis of planning studies, reports, and presentations.
  • Processes all organizational invoices from both internal and external sources through SAP.
  • Produces various accounting reports to track accounts receivables, past due invoicing, and collection activities. Follows SRP corporate accounting standards and practices.
  • Acts as the liaison between Corporate Accounting and division.
  • Provide operational support to departmental staff in the development of solutions and modification of existing procedures.
  • Collaborates with outside agencies, such as utilities, government agencies, developers, engineers, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Provides Technical assistance on special projects as required by supervision.
  • Provides support and technical expertise to internal departments.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Aptitude for financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize a diverse workload, work independently, and complete work accurately and within deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Experience

At job entry, placement will be determined by a review of college transcripts and related work experience. A minimum of 6 years of related experience is required for the senior level. Once placed into the job family, an employee may become eligible for promotion by demonstrating the ability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by their management and meeting experience requirements.

Education

College level coursework (100+) related to the position from an accredited institution is preferred.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
