Maintenance Technician – Lubrication Technican

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician – Lubrication is a member of the Roanoke Valley Lumber (RVL) maintenance team. This individual will assume responsibility for the Lubrication Program at RVL.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Work safely and effectively in a team environment
· Monitor and maintain the equipment in the mill
· Conduct lubrication routes on mill equipment
· Perform required lubrication preventive maintenance plans to mill equipment
· Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of lubrication products
· Responsible for maintaining a world class level lubricant storage facility
· Champion and lead the lubrication effort at RVL
· Attain MLT1 certification
· Conduct Oil Analysis sampling and interpret results and develop action plans to address deficiencies
· Analyze collected data from inspections, sensors, and output values to report findings and make recommendations of corrective maintenance.
· Develops and prepares reporting to notify operations and maintenance teams of equipment health to recommend proactive maintenance.
· Collaborates with Maintenance Planners to determine and recommend prioritization of maintenance.
· Assist with precision repair and maintenance of mill equipment as needed.
· Assist with planning repair work using drawings, equipment manuals or field research
· Champion RVL Safety Culture
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability and willingness to obtain a MLT1 certification
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
· 10+ years in a maintenance field, either mechanical or electrical
· Understanding of lubrication best practices and MLT1 certification
