Follow Health & Safety policies and programs
Create, verify, grind and sharpen knives and moulding profiles within specified dimensions and tolerance levels, ensuring accuracy at all times
Make or sharpen extruder plates
Perform consistent quality control checks on plates and knives
Prepare production setup kits for future runs
Clean moulder heads when returned from production
Computing dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools to perform precision, machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, precision grinding, and other operations
Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools
Set up and program machine tools
Manufacture and maintain SKU inventory for the production line
Test SKU labels using a SKU label verifier to ensure all barcodes are reading correctly
Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges and other measuring devices
Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to Moulding Operations Manager
Assist and provide support for continuous improvement activities including tool trials, process changes and overall process evaluations
Ensure workstation is clean and free of hazards
Other duties as required.
