Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent experience and training
· Mechanical education/certification is an asset
· Forklift certification is an asset
Experience:
· 2 -3 years related experience
· Actual work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset
· Experience with metric and standard measurements
· Mechanical education/certification is an asset
· Forklift certification is an asset
· Loader experience an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- · Operate equipment manually and through HMI (Human Machine Interface) to meet or exceed operating parameters for Refiners, Dryers, and other areas as defined.
- · Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed, including refiner plate changes.
- · Perform routine checks of area and equipment and accurately complete refiner area check sheets.
- · Accurately record information and maintain a daily/shift log information such as process information and changes, troubleshooting solutions and any shift exchange notes.
- · Maintain cleanliness of the refining area, tools and equipment.
- · Identify and report deficiencies and malfunctions in the refiner area to the Shift Team Lead.
- · Perform proper Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures as per specifications and requirements.
- · Issue work orders, safety work orders and environmental work orders as required.
- · Maintain regular communication with coworkers at all levels regarding problems that arise, operation changes, daily production and quality and safety issues
- · Assist outside vendors and/or visitors as required.
- · Perform quality based tests on the refined fiber to meet expectations and record test results into a database.
- · Monitor, research, troubleshoot and trend the production process using various computer programs.
- · Assist with training new employees.
- · Participate in maintenance and cleaning duties during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance times
- · Maintain clean work area
- · Perform all other duties as assigned.
