Purpose
Primary responsibility for completing assigned tasks related to timber sale preparation, inventory sampling, water quality compliance checks, timber security inspections and general property management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Commitment to error free work results
- Collection, cataloging, organization, and distribution of field collected GPS data
- Continuous improvement of spatial data set for the Roanoke Timberlands
- Provide timely and accurate field reports and reconnaissance findings
- Promote SFI objectives through forestry management activities
- Represent the Company positively in all interactions with agencies and industry cooperators
- Maintain good relationships with the public and neighbors at all times
- Model company core values
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Forestry or Bachelor’s degree in related natural resource field of study, 0-2 years of experience
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
- Highly organized with ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Physically capable of working in forested environments and adverse terrain in all weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent proficiency in all aspects of MS Office and other company software
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro
