Come join a growing organization in the sUAS drone industry! Flightwave, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, has an immediate opening for an experienced Electronics Repair Technician. Candidates will be responsible for supporting quality, manufacturing and repair activities. The role will modify, repair and improve existing electronic products. This role will entail working with team leads, production supervisors, and engineers to continuously improve processes and product quality. Candidates will ensure production goals are performed in a timely, safe, and professional manner.

Responsibilities
- Work with RMA Manager to develop, implement, and execute on strategic RMA processes and procedures
- Provide mentorship and assist in training and onboarding new technicians
- Execute on production, manufacturing, testing, engineering, and repair tasks
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies to meet delivery schedules
- Manage assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, and systems
- Perform setup, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, test instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Maintain and manage test fixturing, perform calibration and perform preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment
- Fully tests units after repair to ensure conformance to Flightwave specifications for quality
- Organization and tidiness of laboratory/workbench environment
- Duties and tasks are standardized but could vary day to day
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with running command line interfaces for programming and test operations
- Basic networking concepts, IP address ports, UDP/TCP connections
- Experience in inventory management procedures
- Exposure with highly technical and complex startup or other dynamic environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field preferred, or equivalent, relevant training, or combination of education and experience
- Proven leadership qualities and responsibilities
- Ability to delegate and inspire others
- Evidence of capable analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work with instruction from the engineer or manager
- Process and documentation creation/control
- Experience with RF/wireless systems and lab measurements is a plus
- Part 107 Pilot License and IPC Certifications (required within 60 days of hire date)

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in hardware assembly and/or installation
- 5-8 years of experience in hardware service, assembly, test or repair
- Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity
- Experience with small scale electrotechnical assemblies (versus large aerospace engines)
- Electrical technician experience
- Skill in hand soldering and PCB rework operations
- Experience using DMM/Fluke multimeter and logic analyzer
- Experience with custom cable or wire harness assemblies, crimping, terminations, and continuity testing
- Ability to use test procedures, drawings, read schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test, repair and troubleshoot to the component level
- Excellent technical communication and writing skills
- Ability to draft concise root cause analysis and service report summaries
