About Overwatch:

Overwatch Imaging is automating the collection, analysis, and delivery of time-critical geospatial intelligence for missions that matter. Overwatch AI software automatically manages airborne sensors through smart pointing commands, automated detection of objects of interest, and computer-generated reporting of collected intelligence outputs for communications-efficient reporting. Overwatch smart sensors are multi-camera, multi-spectral stabilized airborne payloads designed for automated operation by edge computers rather than human sensor operators. Together, our capabilities enable life-saving agencies to scan wide areas and find small objects of interest, faster and more efficiently than with human-in-the-loop systems, so our customers can focus less on the search and more on the best response.

About this Role:

The Overwatch Imaging Quality Technician will work with a multi-disciplinary team to test Overwatch Imaging Smart Sensors against company and customer contractual requirements with a focus on quality. The role will also collaborate with Production and development teams throughout the product design lifecycle, providing critical feedback to create effective and robust systems that meet customer demand. The Imaging System Quality Technician will follow and help implement standards, practices, and procedures for software and hardware testing, and will complete system testing against company and customer requirements.

What You’ll do:

  • Product Acceptance Testing: Using product requirements and defined test plans to ensure mission success. Tests and evaluates systems against the requirements for each customer delivery.
  • Flight Operations Oversight: Manages the Overwatch Imaging flight test program including selection, procurement and maintenance of flight test assets, relationships with supplier-contractors, and administration of related safety and use policies.
  • Product Assembly and Subsystem Build and Test: Using technical drawings, specifications or work instructions, to build cable harnesses, electro-optic subassemblies or final products for delivery to customers. Sets up and operates production equipment to support good manufacturing practices.
  • Identify Problems and Suggest Improvements: Identifies and debugs problems in processes, products, equipment and works for solutions. Assist design engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes and new products.
  • Production System Quality: Completes component, subassembly and imaging payload system verification testing; identifies and pursues reliability improvements and cost reduction opportunities; and ensures repeatable performance of delivered systems.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience and Education:

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating Integration and Test Activities for fixed wing, rotary wing and unmanned aircraft systems, across multiple organizations
  • Experience with developing and enhancing test plans, procedures and reports.
  • Education and hands-on experience in electronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, robotics or related fields
