Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) SMCI Office Manager for the College of Business Department at Oregon State University (OSU).

The CMCI Office Manager is responsible for 1) the coordination and support of all CMCI Project Teams, and 2) the maintenance and operation of main CMCI Office.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.

Position Duties
  • Office Management: Owns and manages the CMCI Office (The “Work Room”) to make sure it is available and ready at all times; manages all CMCI digital and physical assets.
  • Coordination: Create the office hours schedule, team meetings, etc.; maintains project lists, rosters, and status updates; assist with any logistical needs that research teams have
  • Communication: Run the CMCI Teams and LinkedIn site and manage all group communications; routinely send out emails, announcements, reminders, student/faculty profiles, etc.; help with marketing material/recruiting more students
  • Oversee orientation and on-boarding of new students and interns.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Preview experience with CMCI preferred.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Sophomore or Junior Preferred.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
  • 10-20 hrs/week in Office (AH 382)
  • May require off-campus travel to research sites
