Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Corporate and Workforce Education Operations Assistant for the Office of Educational Ventures at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Division of Educational Ventures at Oregon State University seeks one part‑time student (up to 20 hours per week) to join our Corporate & Workforce Education team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate and Workforce Education, this position supports the optimal operation of all corporate and workforce education collaborations, which increases access and affordability for working adult learners to online education at Oregon State.

In this role, you’ll use artificial intelligence (AI), Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools to organize, interpret, and summarize data that informs process improvement. You’ll complete a range of defined, task‑based assignments—such as data preparation and analysis, information gathering, documentation, and summary reporting—that contribute to our decision‑making processes.

Work Location & Schedule
On‑site work is based in the Valley Library during business hours (8 am and 5 pm) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Position Duties
Corporate Relationship Management Support
  • Communication: Help with routine internal communications with division teams and campus partners.
  • Meeting Support: Assist with meeting prep and revision of meeting notes and storage. Assist with follow-up tasks as needed.
  • Collaboration Verifications: Assist with verification requests, associated tracking of verifications, and follow-up with students.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the CWE Unit
  • Data Analysis and Quality Assurance: Perform regular, detailed review and analysis of student and corporate collaborator data aimed at proactive identification of issues that impact the student experience.
  • Event Coordination Assistance: Support the organization of recruitment fairs and events, both in-person and virtually. Monitor and report on marketing collateral inventory.
  • Documentation: Document and map out processes for managing corporate and workforce agreements, and keep the documents and processes updated.
  • Research: Support research efforts that contribute to executive briefs and regular collaborator summaries/updates.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Current enrollment as an Oregon State University student; applicants who expect to remain enrolled and employed in this position for at least the next 18 months will receive priority consideration.
  • Clear written communication skills, including professional email habits and timely communication of questions or concerns.
  • Comfortable learning and using new technology and software tools.
  • Reliability in meeting deadlines and responding to feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple structured tasks accurately while prioritizing competing deadlines under high expectations.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • Interest in corporate education, workforce development, or higher education operations.
  • Experience in roles that required managing detailed tasks or working from established procedures.
  • Prior experience working independently while staying accountable to a supervisor or team.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn from feedback and examples.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) or CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, formatting, and simple formulas.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., experience using R and Python programming languages is a plus).
  • Academic background or coursework in areas such as data analytics, business analytics, computer science, engineering, information systems, or related fields is helpful. Students from any major are encouraged to apply—relevant skills, experience, and interest in data‑informed work are more important than program of study.
