The College of Science is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs . This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Administrative Assistant to the Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs is an integral part of the College of Science Dean’s Office and Science Success Center. This position reports directly to the Executive Assistant to the Dean and provides confidential administrative support to the Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs.

The majority of the administrative assistant’s activity is performed independently on campus in an office environment. The administrative assistant is responsible for understanding the University and College’s mission and goals, and the policies, rules and procedures as they apply to the position. Sound judgment, anticipatory skills, confidentiality, excellent organizational and communications skills, professional writing and editing skills, and the ability to be agile to change are imperative skills and qualifications for being successful in this position.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8-5a. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to assist with College of Science events. Most of the work is performed on campus in an office environment.
