Job Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Temporary Biological Sciences Research Technician 1: Swiss Needle Cast Cooperative Technician position for the Department of Forest Engineering, Research and Management at Oregon State University (OSU). The employee in this position will serve to assist in surveying a permanent plot network in order to evaluate the impact of the Swiss needle cast foliage disease on Douglas-fir dominated forest stands in coastal Oregon and Washington. The project objective is to understand the long-term impacts on growth and productivity of Douglas-fir stands and spatial patterns of disease severity within the geographic range of the pathogen. The employee will learn about forest pathology, mycology, forest health, and forestry management. |

What We Require | Two years of college-level courses in (specific field of biological science); OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
What You Will Need |
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030. |
