Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Coast to Forest Student Employee position for the Extension Family and Community Health and the OSU Center for Health Innovation/OCHI at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Coast to Forest Program (a collaboration of OSU Extension Family and Community Health and the OSU Center for Health Innovation/OCHI) is hiring one student employee at the level of 12-24 hours per week. The student employee will report to the Coast to Forest program coordinator and support implementation of the “Coast to Forest” project, a mental health promotion and substance use prevention initiative. Specifically, the student employee will support efforts to design and maintain a web-based library of tools and resources related to substance use and mental health and a repository of radio resources for community-based professionals. The student employee may also assist with back-end management of a website, promoting training opportunities, supporting mental health awareness trainings, and development/translation of Spanish-language behavioral health materials. Notably, consideration may be given to working up to the maximum hours allowable based on student status. At a minimum, students need to be consistently available for 12 hours per week at regular times (e.g., 4 hours per shift three days per week). It is expected that this student employee will begin work as quickly as is feasible, and will continue working 12-24 hours per week through September 29, 2025. It is possible that the student employee may also have the opportunity to continue working with the Coast to Forest team beyond this date as continued funding allows. |
