Engineer I:
0-2+ years of related engineering experience

Engineer II:
3+ years of related engineering experience

Sr Engineer:
5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Sr Engineer II:

8+ Years of relevant engineering experience

Engineer I/ Engineer II:

  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
  • Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport.
  • Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications.

Sr Engineer:

  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
  • Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
  • Skilled in use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
  • In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g., Matlab, Excel, etc.).
  • Equally effective working independently or in team environment.
  • Proven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.

  • Develop, review, and implement engineering standards, equipment specifications, safe work procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work practices supporting natural gas processing, transmission, storage, and facility operations.
  • Evaluate materials, equipment, technologies, and construction methods for application within natural gas facilities and pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain engineering guidance documents, design criteria, standard drawings, and construction specifications for natural gas facilities.
  • Manage capital, maintenance, and reliability improvement projects from conception through completion, including scope development, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, permitting, design, procurement, bid package development, contractor selection, construction management, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop project cost estimates, prepare capital funding requests, manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, forecast spending, and identify opportunities to improve project cost effectiveness while maintaining safety and reliability objectives.
  • Lead and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for facility modifications, operational changes, equipment installations, and process improvements to ensure changes are evaluated, documented, and implemented safely and effectively.
  • Interpret and apply applicable federal, state, and local regulations, industry codes, and company standards, including DOT Pipeline Safety Regulations, ASME, API, NACE, NFPA, and related engineering and construction requirements.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives by maintaining engineering documentation, participating in audits and inspections, evaluating regulatory changes, and ensuring facility designs and operations meet applicable requirements.
  • Evaluate industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve facility safety, reliability, operational performance, and efficiency.
  • Partner with Operations and Maintenance personnel to troubleshoot equipment failures, process upsets, and system performance issues, providing technical recommendations and engineering solutions to improve reliability and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and corrective action efforts associated with equipment failures, process incidents, safety events, and operational concerns.
  • Lead and support strategic company initiatives focused on safety improvement, operational excellence, reliability enhancement, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development, prioritization, and management of short- and long-term capital improvement programs, including five-year capital planning efforts.
  • Evaluate and qualify vendors, materials, and equipment for inclusion on the Company's Approved Materials List (AML).
  • Evaluate and vet engineering consultants, construction contractors, and specialty service providers to ensure compliance with company standards, technical requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Provide engineering oversight and technical support during construction activities to ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, permits, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Review, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams, gas loss maps, facility drawings, standard drawings, and related engineering records.
  • Develop engineering guidance documents, job aids, technical bulletins, and support materials to improve consistency, standardization, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
  • Participate in facility risk assessments, constructability reviews, hazard evaluations, and operational readiness reviews to identify and mitigate operational and safety risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to field personnel, operations teams, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support emergency response efforts and provide engineering support during abnormal operating conditions, outages, incidents, and other critical events.
