As a Senior Product Manager for our Benefits SaaS product, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of our benefits platform. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, operations, compliance, customer success, and sales to deliver a best-in-class benefits experience for HR teams and employees. Your deep understanding of benefits administration, regulatory requirements, plan design and setup, open enrollment workflows, eligibility rules, and carrier connectivity will fuel innovation and drive product enhancements. You have a deep understanding of all the primary stakeholders in the space including Benefits Administrators, Employees, HR Directors, Carriers and Brokers and how all the different plans that employers offer to employees are intended to function. You will own the product lifecycle end-to-end—from discovery and ideation through launch and iterative improvement—ensuring our benefits product remains competitive, compliant, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
This is a hands-on Product Management role in a dynamic and extremely fast-paced environment.What You Will do

- Develop and manage the benefits product strategy and roadmap, aligning with company goals, customer needs, and market trends.
- Evaluate product performance and identify opportunities to improve usability, automation, compliance accuracy, and carrier connectivity.
- Adjust priorities and roadmap direction as regulatory or market conditions evolve
- Partner with engineering, design, operations, customer support, and implementation teams to deliver high-quality benefits solutions.
- Serve as the voice of the customer—HR administrators, employees, brokers, and carriers—in product decisions and discussions.
- Ensure alignment across internal teams regarding product priorities, timelines, and expectations.
- Conduct ongoing research on benefits administration trends, regulatory changes, and customer pain points.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape to inform differentiation strategies and ensure product-market fit.
- Leverage data and insights to influence long-term product direction.
- Lead the full product development lifecycle, from discovery through delivery.
- Write detailed user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
- Collaborate with UX/UI design to create intuitive benefit enrollment and management experiences.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product features through Agile processes.
- Conduct customer interviews, feedback sessions, and usability testing to deeply understand benefit workflows and challenges.
- Prioritize product enhancements based on customer impact, business value, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for seamless enrollment, eligibility, and carrier data integrations to reduce administrative burden.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to anticipate regulatory changes and implement necessary product updates.
- Build scalable frameworks for ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Define and track KPIs for the benefits product—including enrollment completion rates, carrier connection reliability, workflow efficiency, and support case trends.
- Analyze product usage and operational metrics to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Present product performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with marketing and sales to develop positioning, messaging, and launch plans for new features and enhancements.
- Enable customer-facing teams with the content, training, and tools necessary to drive adoption and retention.
- Ensure product value is clearly communicated to HR teams and employees.
Who You Are

- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in product management tools such as JIRA, Aha!, or similar.
- Ability to work under pressure managing multiple parallel tracks such as defects, escalations, new feature development.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of product management experience, with at least 3-5 years focused on benefits administration or Benefits SaaS products.
- Experience with benefits workflows such as open enrollment, life event changes, eligibility management, carrier feeds, and compliance reporting.
- Experience working with different types of plans (Medical/Dental/Vision, Life, HSA/FSA, Critical Illness, Pension, 401K etc.)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of benefits processes and regulations
- Strong knowledge of how different plans are configured and behave
- Familiarity with carrier data exchange, EDI, and third-party benefits ecosystem integrations
