Grizzly Corps is an AmeriCorps fellowship program launched in 2020, designed by Project Climate at UC Berkeley’s Center for Law, Energy & the Environment in partnership with California Volunteers. The program sends recent college graduates into rural communities across California to promote regenerative agri-food systems and enhance fire and forest resilience. Each year, Grizzly Corps places 35 full-time fellows in various host organizations, where they engage in capacity-building projects that improve community resilience and address climate change. The fellows work on diverse initiatives, including community outreach, education, conservation, and planning, making a significant impact on local environmental efforts while gaining valuable professional experience.
