What this job is

We're looking for an Inventory Forester to support our Northwest Timberlands. The work centers on managing inventory data collection, administering timber cruising contracts, and supervising acquisition and disposition verification cruise projects. It's hands-on, detail-oriented work that keeps our timber management grounded in accurate, reliable data — and it matters.

What You'll Do

  • Manage inventory data collection across the property
  • Administer timber cruising contracts, from planning through execution
  • Supervise acquisition and disposition verification cruise projects
  • Maintain and quality-check cruise data to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors as needed
  • Support forest resource planning with current, dependable inventory information

What you bring

We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in forestry, ideally with hands-on experience in timber cruising or inventory work. You know how to move through the field efficiently, collect data carefully, and make sure the numbers you bring back actually mean something. You're comfortable working independently and managing contract relationships without a lot of hand-holding. A degree in forestry or a related field is expected, and familiarity with cruise tools and data management systems will serve you well here. Strong attention to detail and good judgment in the field matter more to us than a polished resume.

Compensation Details

Pay range: $76,000 - $114,000. The pay range listed is just one component of Green Diamond's total compensation package. Other rewards include eligibility to receive a company-wide annual financial performance bonus, and the opportunity to receive an individual performance-based bonus, candidate referral bonuses, and spot bonuses.
