GIS Managed Cloud Technician

As a GIS Managed Cloud Technician, you’ll work to architect, deploy, and support a wide variety of ArcGIS Enterprise deployments.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise based solutions in cloud environments, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure (Azure)
• Implement and validate solution changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
• Adhere to SLA response times and standards based on client contractual agreements.
• Proactively recognize potential inefficiencies in both ArcGIS Enterprise configurations and the supporting cloud environments utilized by our clients.
• Be proactive in recognizing and handling uptime and performance challenges
• Engage with Development, QA, and Product teams in bringing cases to resolution
• Troubleshoot the system and provide root cause analysis
• Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support
• Stay up to date on latest and greatest releases from Esri.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, enterprise, and AGOL)
• Proficiency with the Esri product line, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, AGOL, and related desktop extensions

• Esri software updates and installation
• Enterprise Geodatabase experience (SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL)
• Creation of SDE DB
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience with Esri Portal administration
• Experience with troubleshooting Enterprise environments
• Experience with Citrix or other VDI troubleshooting
• Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact directly with customers who do not have an IT background
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly

Recommended Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience designing, administering, and/or maintaining cloud environments, such as Azure or AWS, supporting 24×7 high-availability production environments
• Experience with SAML/SSO/ MFA troubleshooting
• Experience hosting business mission-critical production environments with high up-time service level agreements
• Experience working with change-regulated environments, e.g. development, staging, and production
• Associate-level AWS or Azure-level certification
• Esri Advanced level certification in areas related to Enterprise
