Status: Part Time Termed – current funding for the position covers three years.

The Forest Stewards Guild is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Conservation Ambassador to assist in connecting private landowners to funding opportunities that support conservation practices. The position will be focused on outreach, education, training, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be skilled in agricultural conservation practices, community outreach, and be familiar with the local community’s land use practices, resource concerns, and conservation needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and local organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between community members and the Conservation Manager to promote adoption of regenerative agricultural practices and connect landowners with funding opportunities.
  • Help identify and develop microgrants within the community to fund small-scale, community-led conservation projects.
  • Help plan and host community outreach events, peer learning sessions, and demonstration projects.
  • Help generate projects and activities for the Cuba Forest Stewards Youth Corps (FSYC) crew to implement in 2027 and 2028 (Cuba location only).
