  • Forestry & Utility Division

  • Environmental Division

  • Technology & Innovation Division

  • Sustainability Division

JOB SUMMARY: The Field-Technician I is responsible for assisting with a variety of projects and on-site field work, as directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

  • Supervise and conduct natural areas management, restoration, and conservation activities including:

  • Invasive species management

  • Herbicide application

  • Tree/shrub/herbaceous plantings and seedings

  • Assistance with controlled burning

  • Assist in surveys, site visits, and/or testing in varying environments and weather conditions

  • Compose detailed notes of conditions, field procedures, and results

  • Cross-train into other disciplines to become an integrated member of Eocene Environmental Group's Environmental Division

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings

  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership

  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures

  • Position may require 15%-50% travel

  • Occasional overnight travel

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Required license/credentials based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science or similar field

  • Previous environmental field experience

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Frequently required to walk, sometimes over varying terrain

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, on occasion

  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions in outdoor environments
