WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Detailed oriented team player who enjoys organizing spreadsheets and following defined processes. Interest or experience in fabrication processes such as sheet metal, welding and machining would be an asset.
Who You Are:
Detail-oriented professional with a focus on manufacturing workflows and data integrity. I specialize in transforming complex datasets into actionable operational structures. With a technical foundation in aerospace fabrication, including sheet metal, welding, and precision machining. I am committed to maintaining the rigorous process standards required for high-output aviation environment.
What to expect:
- Day to day report to the planning supervisor.
- Plan for manufacture of parts including material planning, stock ordering, vendor services
- Track parts and projects via excel
- Build master parts configuration lists and maintain excel files for major projects by extracting required data from aviation drawing packages
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain various documents (Spreadsheets, forms, etc ... ) under the directions of the Manufacturing Manager or Planning Supervisor
- Maintain project design configuration as applicable
- Ensure all documents are in suitable format and revision
- Maintain a database for all applicable documents and projects
- Review applicable company documentation for accuracy/redline incorporation
- Various tasks to support and fulfill AS9100 quality standards
- Source vendors with appropriate work scope and accreditation to fulfill Purchase order requirements
- Co-ordinate with vendors including follow up correspondence
- Track manufactured parts availability as well as in process parts status
- Other duties as assigned
Short-Term Expectations: There will be a sharp learning curve for aviation terminology and day-to-day operations. The candidate will need to take immediate learning outcomes and apply them to planning.
Daily: Work directly with the Manufacturing Planning Supervisor and report to him for daily direction and tasking.
Requirements:
- At least three (2) years of Manufacturing Planning or like experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
- Team player able to collaborate with colleagues, also able to work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks
This position is based in mid-Vancouver Island, BC Canada. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
