Job Description

The LSC Arts Program Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of the LSC Arts Program. They report directly to the LSC Art Program Manager.

Requirements

  • The LSC Arts Assistant Manager must hold office hours 4 days per work week (M-F, 9am-5pm). One of these days must be Friday.
  • Minimum weekly meeting with the LSC Arts Program Manager.

Summary of Duties

  • Oversee scheduling of all staff meetings, exhibition installations, and docenting shifts. Manage personnel issues with docenting and installation schedules.
  • Oversee curation and installation of exhibitions in the Sideshow (student art space)
  • Oversee the execution and distribution of all marketing efforts, including marketing for individual exhibitions in the Curfman, Duhesa, and Sideshow Galleries; Social media posts and campaigns; updates to the LSC Arts Website.
  • Assist in the curation of exhibition spaces and execution of exhibitions, including correspondence with artists, administrative tasks, and events associated with artis visits.
  • Assist in Collection Management duties as needed.
  • Assist in the on-boarding and training of LSC Arts Crew.
  • Act as docent in the Curfman Gallery as needed.
  • Assist with Campus Activities events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed a 4 year degree in Studio Art or Art History (B.A or B.F.A)
  • 2 years experience working for the Lory Student Center Arts Program at Colorado State University
  • Must be willing to work 4 days/week, Monday through Friday, with Fridays mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in both collections management and preparator roles
  • Familiarity with Colorado State University, the Lory Student Center, Campus Activities, and the Fort Collins community

Salary Range

$24 per hour
