Job Description
Position Summary
The Department of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business may hire temporary faculty from an applicant pool from time to time. The teaching load and course assignments are made by the Department Chair.
Instructors may be hired for fall, spring, or summer term in a given academic year. Applications will be accepted throughout the calendar year. Hiring decisions are normally made during late spring and throughout the summer for fall semester, during fall semester for spring semester, and during spring semester for the summer term.

Essential Job Duties
Instructional Course Design and Administration
Construct course syllabus adhering to College of Business assurance of learning outcomes and departmental standards
Administer course through Colorado State University’s learning management system.
Instructional Course Delivery
Deliver instructional course material via multi-media teaching techniques in relevant subject areas in prescribed delivery format.
Conditions of Employment
Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)
Minimum Qualifications
Applicable Master’s, J.D., or Ph.D. that is aligned with one or more of the following subject areas: financial management, international finance, investments, quantitative methods, financial planning, business analytics, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), corporate finance, risk management, real estate, and real estate law
Or current doctoral candidate in a field of study that is aligned with one or more of the above-mentioned subject areas
Or applicable undergraduate degree with five years or more professional work experience aligned with one or more of the above-mentioned subject areas
Ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: financial management, international finance, investments, quantitative methods, financial planning, business analytics, ESG, corporate finance, risk management, real estate, and real estate law
Legal authorization to work in the US. The College of Business will not provide visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching courses in these relevant subject areas: financial management, international finance, investments, quantitative methods, financial planning, business analytics, ESG, corporate finance, risk management, real estate, and real estate law
Degree obtained from a school of business accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International)
Previous university teaching experience in a college of business in relevant subject areas.
Substantial business experience in relevant subject areas
Experience with multi-media teaching techniques

Salary Range
Per course basis; default starting pay $7,000 - $7,500/class (full-time equivalent base salary of $62,222 - $66,667); in select instances, pay may be higher commensurate with experience/course complexity.Required Application Documents
