| Description of Work Unit | CEMML is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DOD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. | Position Summary | Multiple Environmental Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst (Professional Individual Contributor II) positions are available at the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML), duty stationed in Fort Collins, CO, as part of the US Air Force Environmental GIS project (AFEnvGIS) to serve multiple technical and support functions including: (1) reach back support (RBS) for off-campus GIS Analysts, (2) technical support as required by the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), (3) data development, (4) assistance and support for data maintenance, and (5) Quality Control (QC) and oversight to ensure Data Integrity (DI) for over 100 USAF installations. In some instances, positions may require staff to be fully in-person. In other instances, hybrid arrangements may be possible. The GIS Analyst(s) will communicate to a broad audience that may be outside the GIS occupational discipline. The employee(s) will, through guidance and supervision, have a working knowledge of University policies and systems relevant and necessary to complete work requirements. Their work impacts their immediate team or the AFEnvGIS project. Travel to selected Air Force installations may be required for data collection and development. |
