Corporate Marketing Manager - Commerce (Non-Gaming)

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Supports Commerce Non-Gaming marketing leadership by developing marketing strategy and creative briefs, campaign calendars, presentations and reporting to document and effectively communicate all marketing activities supporting the Choctaw brand and Commerce Non-Gaming businesses.
Primary Tasks:
- Supports the Corporate (Sr) Marketing Director in developing marketing strategies and collateral to meet operational business needs and target business objectives.
Serves to support Corporate/Commerce marketing team as assigned including contracts, orders, relationship management, and appearance/engagements as assigned.
- Responsible for becoming a market expert for assigned divisions, businesses, programs, services, and/or facilities to best understand specific marketing needs and make recommendations on short and long-term strategies by identifying emerging trends and issues.
Work closely with the operational teams to understand business and product development roadmaps, and corresponding marketing and communication needs to enable them to meet their departmental or business goals and objectives by assisting the Marketing Managers and Specialists in providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and support.
Works with donation committee on behalf of the division of commerce, tracks donation opportunities and makes recommendations for participation.
- Serves on CNO-wide committees to ensure the non-gaming division is engaged in and supporting tribe-wide initiatives (cultural committee, POW Wow a committee) under the support and guidance of Marketing senior leadership.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring proper and consistent use of naming conventions, corporate architecture, and messaging strategies.
- Manage (Sr) Marketing Specialists providing leadership skills related to goal setting, alignment, and performance management.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Six (6) years of marketing experience (in-house or agency)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take and give accurate direction
- Expert knowledge of traditional and emerging marketing channels
- Extensive experience in brand strategy and management
- Leadership skills to motivate team members and manage conflicts
- Five (5) years of management experience with responsibilities including goal setting and alignment
