Full-Time Field Technician-Tribal Conservation District-Hugo

Full-Time | Monday-Thursday 7:00-5:30pm
Pay Rate: $19.30 Hourly
Weekly Earned Wage Access is available for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Works to improve Tribal lands implementing conservation practices to include weed and brush control, fencing, water conservation and storage. Support Outreach efforts with USDA cost-share programs. You will report to the Conservationist Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will implement of Soil and Water conservation projects to increase the value and sustainable productions of Tribal Lands.
2. Operate farm machinery, such as tractor, brush hog, and disc.
3. Perform maintenance and replacement requirements
4. Maintain equipment in good working condition.
5. You will help implement projects at the Lehigh and Hugo Demonstration sites.
6. Maintain records and files necessary to the operation of the program and for reporting.
7. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge of Herbicides and the proper use.
· Able to read legal descriptions for land research.
· Basic knowledge of acetylene cutting torch and welder
· 2 years’ experience using farm equipment in a related Agriculture field.
