Cemetery Restoration Specialist
Job Description
Pay Range: $17.55-$18.34 | Onsite Calera, OK | Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Cemetery Restoration Specialist assists with locating, documenting, and maintaining historic Choctaw cemeteries through tasks like cleaning, restoration, and basic repairs. You will help with equipment maintenance, support archaeological surveys, and document gravesites using GPS. You will report to the Cemetery Restoration Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
Locate, document, clean, and protect historic Choctaw cemeteries.
Restore and maintain Choctaw cemeteries including brush-hogging, wood-cutting, cleaning, fencing, gate installation, etc.
Conduct basic repair and maintenance on Cemetery Crew equipment.
Assist with archaeological survey and monitoring.
Assist Cemetery Crew with documenting Choctaw gravesites using GPS.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Choctaw culture
High school diploma or GED.
Valid State Issued Driver's License
Stoop, bending, kneeling, and reaching daily and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Some knowledge of tractor and equipment repair
Willingness to learn how to operate GPS equipment
- Willingness to learn how to operate tractor and other heavy equipment
- One [1] year of directly related experience
