Job Overview

The Aircraft Integration Technician 4 is a highly skilled professional responsible for the installation, modification, and testing of aircraft systems and components. They work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure the proper integration and functionality of various systems, such as avionics, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the process of installation and checkout of UAV electrical and electronic devices
  • Operate hand and power tools during assembly and fabrication
  • Utilize multimeters and probes to conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment wiring.
  • Perform cable assembly and repairs
  • Assemble components including switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes
  • Perform QA inspections in order to complete QA sheets
  • Perform work on integration, fuselage/airframe, programming, checkout and GCS portions of UAV.
  • Follow work instructions and/or peer guidance on proper assembly
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Complete and thorough knowledge of all sections of UAV maintenance.
  • Exceptional avionics and mechanical integration skills
  • Strong ability to act as team lead when needed by providing support and guidance to other members of the team.
  • Excellent ability to identify current and potential issues and work with management on solutions.
  • Ability to read and understand prints and layouts, or learn if not experienced
  • Excellent ability to work efficiently with team members, independently, and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to meet daily/weekly production goals with critical time schedules

Education / Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Experience

  • 10+ Years of experience in a production and/or assembly environment
  • Proven knowledge of competencies for skill level can be used in lieu of experience
  • Proven working experience working on integration, fuselage/airframe, programming, checkout and GCS portions of a UAV or similar aircraft.

Security Clearance
